Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 28, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Turnusol Academic service ("Service"), operated by Turnusol Academic ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Turnusol Academic analyses academic journals from a URL you submit and returns a credibility report, indexing checks, and an AI-assisted summary. Outputs are informational and do not constitute professional, legal, or publishing advice. You are responsible for verifying results before acting on them.
2. Account & Eligibility
You must be of legal age and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials confidential.
3. Acceptable Use
- No unlawful use, fraud, or spam.
- No infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights.
- No interference with the Service: no malware, probing, scraping, or attempts to bypass technical limits.
- No reverse engineering, resale, or redistribution of the Service.
4. AI Outputs
The Service uses AI to generate summaries and commentary. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and must not be relied on for regulated or high-stakes decisions without independent verification. You are responsible for the URLs you submit and for any use you make of the outputs.
5. Subscriptions, Credits & Billing
The Service is offered on a monthly subscription with scan credits. One scan consumes one credit. Unused credits do not roll over except on the Pro plan. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms.
6. Failed Scans & Credit Refunds
If a scan fails for technical reasons on our side and a credit is still deducted, contact us and we will restore the credit. Outside of this case, consumed credits are not refundable individually — refunds for the subscription itself are handled under our Refund Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
We retain ownership of the Service, including its software, models, branding, and documentation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your active plan.
8. Service Level
The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance and disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may cancel at any time from your account or via paddle.net.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill). Nothing limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law forbids such limits.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms: contact us through the in-app support form. For billing-related questions, visit paddle.net.
